Lake Access Case Under Advisement
On May 18, 2015, the Oregon Court of Appeals heard oral argument in Kramer v. City of Lake Oswego, a case concerning the validity of city ordinances that restrict access to Oswego Lake. The State of Oregon is a co-defendant. In January 2014, the trial court concluded that the ordinances were valid and that nothing in Oregon’s public trust doctrine required the city or the state to provide public access to the lake. The case is under advisement.
